I found a new makeup enthusiast on Youtube by the name of EmmaWoodall85 yesterday and was inspired by her rendition of a Fall/Winter 2011 runway look. The legendary artist Pat McGrath created the makeup look for the Roberto Cavalli show as the key artist. I decided to add my own twist to it with the [...]

I pulled this from last year. I was a deranged baby doll for Halloween 2010. This was my first time trying to cover brows. Looking back, I see where I could have done some things different, but overall this was a crazy, fun process.

If you have any interest in becoming a hairstylist, fashion stylist, makeup artist or manicurist you need to know Crystal Wright. She is the #1 resource for marketing yourself successfully in the entertainment and beauty industries.
And guess what?! She’s currently having a Twitter 5000 Giveaway. This giveaway allows you the opportunity to receive one of Crystal Wright Live’s products for free! That includes her coveted Packaging Your Portfolio workshop. You MUST go here and sign up to be entered in the drawing.
You can’t afford to let this opportunity pass you by. Trust me, as one of her interns, my eyes have been opened to aspects of the business that I hadn’t even considered. You will definitely be ready to reach your full potential once you’ve experienced Crystal. While you’re at it, follow her on twitter too.
One of the Makeup Artist over in the Facebook Makeup Chat Line started a week of color. Each day there’s a different color and we all post looks. Over the next few posts, I’ll post the look I did for the day.
As many are already aware, MAC invited a few bloggers to create their own eyeshadows and lipglosses for a collection called Bloggers’ Obsessions. I’m on a self imposed makeup restriction, so I only purchased one item: All of My Purple Life lipglass created by the lovely Afrobella. This is a very pretty, warm purple gloss with shimmer. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on who you ask) the collection is sold out. However, MAC does intend to restock all items. So get on over to their website and sign up to be notified when it’s back and make sure you get it!
If you’ve been on twitter since the launch of this collection, then you’ve probably seen supporters posting pics of them wearing this lipglass. Since I’m slow, I’m just now uploading my own pictures. So here they are: I wore it by itself and then over MAC’s Pink Friday, MAC’s Lavendar Whip, Cover Girl Lip Perfection’s Divine and Makeup Forever’s Rouge Artist Intense in #15.
Recently, Makeup Artist Tiffany Marie Scott posted a youtube video on how to create your own summer body oil. Who doesn’t love a little sparkle and glow in their lives? It seemed easy enough so I wanted to create my own version.
What I used:
Does that sound like a lot of stuff? Yes, well I started with maybe three of those items and as I was mixing I started thinking “Oh! I have x,y,z…” You know how it goes. Anyway, I love how it turned out! Unfortunately I couldn’t capture the sparkle on camera like I wanted, but trust me I feel like Edward when I walk into the sunshine, lol! If you haven’t already, try to find other uses for that makeup stash that doesn’t get as much use as you intended.
